New Year, New You?
Happy New Year and welcome to 2019! Have you ever wondered where the old year went? I felt like it had gone so quickly! My hope is that you accomplish your goals this year, even if it was left over from last year.
As you reflect on what worked/didn’t work for you last year, what are some of the changes you would like to make this year? For me it was letting go of my admin job (my comfort zone) and launch fully into building my consulting business. It was a decision I had been playing with all year and finally, toward the end of 2018, I knew I had to ditch the comfort zone in order to move forward.
So here I am in the New Year with no guaranteed regular income and it’s exiting and scary at the same time! I will now have to get off my backside (literally) and do things to promote my business and take it to the next level. Currently, I am still taking on some counselling work, but I am more passionate about Life Coaching, which is what I wish to do more of.
What are your new year goals? Ask yourself, why do you want to achieve these goals? What would it mean to you? How will your life be different? What might get in the way? How would you handle the hurdles? Who would support you to achieve your goals?
Many people would like to lose weight in the new year and make resolutions to do better. Are you one of these people? Let’s face it, wouldn’t we all like to be a bit healthier and have more energy? What if we were automatically inclined to doing things that were good for our health and wellbeing?
I’m pleased to say that there is a programme available that is habit based, where old, unhelpful habits are replaced with new more helpful habits which become automatic in time! Research has shown that even after twelve months, participants of the study were able to maintain their healthy weight, well after their programme was completed. What have you got to lose?
